How many IMAX Theatres are located in China?
As of 30/06/2015 there were 251 IMAX theatres located across Greater China, which includes Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau
How many theatres do you expect to install in China?
As of 30/06/2015, we had 218 theatres contracted in backlog on top of the 251 theatres already installed. We currently estimate the total market opportunity to be about 1,000 IMAX screens.
How many films do you play per year in IMAX theatres?
The number of films we play varies year to year. We played 28 films in Mainland China in 2014 and 25 films in 2013.
Do you play Chinese language films?
Yes. We played six, five, and four Local Chinese films in the years 2014, 2013 and 2012, respectively, and continue to work with local studios and filmmakers to identify additional Chinese films to release to our network
